Pureology Hydrate range saved our dry hair!

Life in lockdown has seriously got us appreciating the little things. For example a killer haircare routine, and Pureology's Hydrate range ticked all the right boxes. The range works wonders for dry, damaged or coloured locks, which Vanessa and myself both have.

Having heard such positive reviews from consumers and beauty bloggers, we were both very excited to try the range out for ourselves. Plus all the products in the collection are cruelty free, sulfate free, and made with all vegan ingredients, so not only is good hair promised, but also you are doing good for the planet.

Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner

To start off the routine, we used the Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner; a gentle, sulfate-free match made in heaven. Perfect for nourishing dry and damaged hair.

Pureology Hydrate range

Lara: These products really cleansed my scalp without stripping the hair or colour. I loved how frothy the consistency was, as it really lathered on nice and thick. Also bonus points for how rich and softening the conditioner felt on my dry hair.

Vanessa: I’ve never used a shampoo that nourished my hair as much as this did. I’m not sure if this is meant to happen but it completely untangled my hair, making it super easy to condition.

Pureology’s Hydrate Superfoods Treatment

The fun part. Who doesn’t love a treatment. Pureology’s Hydrate Superfoods Treatment was seriously next level. An intensely hydrating hair mask that added moisture, shine and ultimate softness to the hair..

Lara: I loved how this really worked to combat my frizz. I found that the mask really hydrated and helped add moisture to my hair, which reduced frizz and heat damage. I can see myself using this weekly! So obsessed.

Vanessa: Pro tip: if your hair is dry/damaged like mine is, use a treatment instead of conditioner. I towel dried my hair and applied this after double shampooing. The product literally glided out of my hair as I rinsed it out, leaving it super silky and smooth.

Pureology Color Fanatic Multi-Tasking Leave-In Spray

Now to finish, the star of the show; the Color Fanatic Multi-Tasking Leave-In Spray. This miracle in a bottle - acts as an incred leave-in conditioner and heat protectant, and has 21 benefits, how crazy is that! And for a product with a lot of purposes, this one is pretty easy to use. Mist it through your hair evenly when it’s damp, comb gently so it gets properly distributed, and blowdry.

Pureology Hydrate

Lara: This product was my fav. It is the perfect step to apply before a blow dry because it helps ensure ultra smoothness. It also helps reduce frizz, strengthen the locks, adds shine, reduces static, and all round gives your hair goals af. I also loved how lush and fresh the formula smelt!

Vanessa: This right here has to be my favourite product of the full routine. I’m pretty slack with toning my hair (literally haven’t done this since my last trip to the hairdressers) so I was super impressed by how vibrant my highlights looked. It also added an extra element of conditioning, completely eliminating my frizz.

Overall thoughts on the Hydrate Range

Lara: The Hydrate range has truly given my hair the extra love that it needs. My hair feels so much softer, happier and bouncier, something that I didn’t know was possible during lockdown. If you yourself have dry, damaged or colour your hair, cannot recommend the Hydrate range enough, especially the treatment!

Vanessa: The thing I loved most about this routine is how it smoothed my hair. My hair is frizzy (the type that poofs up into a mess-ball in humid climates) and I feel as though this Pureology range fully tamed it. I was shocked at how smooth and silky my hair was after only roughly running a hairdryer through it.
