Hair colour refresher: Goldwell Color Revive Conditioner

This hair colour refresher will keep your hair salon-fresh

There’s nothing quite as heartbreaking as seeing your hard earned - and expensive - hair colour go down the drain. While it’s inevitable that your hair dye will have to fade, there is a way to help keep the colour fresh and vibrant between salon visits: a hair colour refresher.

In this case, we’re talking about the Goldwell Dualsenses Color Revive Conditioner range, which has been specifically designed to refresh or intensify your beautiful hair colour. It’s as simple as adding an extra 2-5 minutes to your hair washing routine to get a colour boost and extra shine. But we’ll explain that a bit later.

Keep reading if you want to learn more about this little hair colour refresher that will bring vibrancy and shine back to your hair.

How exactly does this hair colour refresher work?

So Goldwell is pretty well known for their permanent colour range - a lot of professional hairdressers use them in salons. So it’s no surprise that they have an amazing professional range of shampoos, conditioners and treatments that can help maintain your hair colour at home as well. We already know you guys love their Dualsenses Blondes & Highlights Anti-Yellow Shampoo - so we’re pretty excited to tell you about the Colour Revive Conditioner.

So as we mentioned earlier these conditioners are both colour refreshers and intensifiers depending on how long you leave them in. They all feature Goldwell’s microPROtec technologies with direct dyes that provide quick and even distribution of colour to help refresh the hair. They’re designed to go hand-in-hand with Goldwell colors but with a wide selection of colours, you’ll be able to find one that complements your colouring job.

Seeing as they’re conditioners as well, you can expect silky, smooth hair as an extra result.

Tell me more about the hair colour refresher options available!

The range comes in eight shades:

  • Icy Blonde: For those who are looking for that platinum, super cool blonde look, this one revives clear, bright blondes for the ultimate statement.

  • Light Cool Blonde: This one is closest to your standard purple shampoo, helping refresh pure, iridescent blond and keeping brassiness away.

  • Light Warm Blonde: This is for the softer, more natural blondes as it revives soft beige tones in hair.

  • Dark Warm Blonde: For those who are trying to achieve ultimate ‘bronde’ look as it refreshed caramel blonde tones and adds a rich, reflective shine.

  • Warm Brown: For our brunette sisters in the house who need to refresh their radiant, warmer brown tones or intensify the salon colour.

  • Cool Brown: This helps revive cooler brunette tones - think ash-driven browns and even ones with more blonde highlights through it.

  • Warm Red: With so many people dying their hair copper shades now, this helps refresh that hard to achieve vibrancy and keeps rich red hair looking brilliant between salon visits.

  • Cool Red: Despite being classified as cooler red, this helps refresh those sultry red-violet tones and keeps the colour deep and vibrant as when you first get out of the salon.

How do I use the Color Revive Conditioner?

Because Color Revive is a conditioner, you simply need to use it as a part of your normal hair washing routine. Start with a good shampoo - in this case you can’t go past the Goldwell Dualsenses Color Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner Duo. Infused with that same microPROtec complex, their FadeStopFormula and a unique colour technology called Luminescine to help transform non-visible UV light into visible light - it will make sure that your colour is as brilliant as it can be. We’d recommend alternating between the Color Brilliance conditioner and the Color Revive Conditioner of your choice with every wash.

Once you’ve washed your hair with shampoo, remove any excess water and apply the Color Revive Conditioner from your roots to your ends, and massage it in. Leave for 2 minutes if you want to use it as a hair colour refresher and restore vibrancy to your hair colour. Or you can leave for closer to 5 minutes if you want to intensify your colour. Then simply wash it out!

Tip: Seal with with the Goldwell Dualsenses Colour Brilliance Serum Spray to help create even more gleam and get weightless conditioning too.
