Olaplex No 6 is the leave-in treatment of your dreams
Olaplex Hair Treatment - reparative No 6 Bond Smoother Styling Creme

Olaplex No 6 is the leave-in treatment of your dreams

Okay, so we know how much you love Olaplex. It’s one of our bestsellers for a reason - because it actually does work wonders for your hair. The No. 3 Hair Perfector is a cult classic now and not too long ago, they brought out the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner that you could use at home as well. Now? Well, we’re getting ready to welcome another Olaplex treatment, the No. 6 Bond Smoother.

Previously only available in salons with an option of the No 3 to take home with you, Olaplex has really just taken on a life of its own after being available as a home treatment option. The Hair Perfector has become to go-to hair treatment for repairing damaged and frizzy hair. As a bond multiplier, it is a real solution for locks that are regularly put through chemical services where the disulfide bonds in your hair can be broken. It works to rebuild hair from its core and actually locates broken bonds in the hair and cross links them back together. It’s magical.

As we mentioned earlier, Olaplex is one of our bestsellers - you guys absolutely love it! And we totally get why. So it’s an understatement to say that some of our customers and the wider public have been super excited for this new Olaplex treatment. Learn more about the latest addition to the family and why you should add it to your own hair care routine.

The new Olaplex treatment: an introduction

What exactly does this new, fancy Olaplex product do?

So this No 6 treatment classifies itself as a styling creme. The same kind of revolutionary technology that makes Olaplex No. 1 through to No. 5 SO good also makes an appearance here. Except this time, you don’t have to wash it out. Think of the Bond Smoother as a mix between a styling product and a hair treatment. It acts to eliminate frizz while also hydrating and protecting your hair.

So it’s perfect as a pre-styling treatment for blow drying or straightening your hair.

Where does it fit in to my current Olaplex (or non-Olaplex routine)?

We’ve had a lot of enquiries about whether this new Bond Smoother will be used in place of the No 3 Hair Perfector and the answer is no. You can definitely use it in conjunction with one another.

The No 3 Hair Perfector is designed to be used 2-3 times a week - preferably with the No 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner - or at the very least a SLS-free shampoo and conditioner combo. You simply apply a generous amount to damp hair and leave it in for at least 10 minutes before rinsing it out.

While the No 6 Bond Smoother can be used everyday to help settle any natural frizz you have or might get as a side effect of using hot tools. It even speeds up your blow drying time! At the end of the day, they’re both great standalone treatments so they can only be better together, right?

How do I use the No 6 Bond Smoother?

All you need to do is apply a five-cent sized amount to damp or dry hair and comb it through. Focus on the mid-lengths and ends where the damage is usually the worst. The simply just go on and style your hair as you usually would!

Needless to say, this Olaplex treatment works best as a part of the whole Olaplex take home routine so get yourself onto No 3, 4 and 5 too.

Should I buy it?

If we haven’t already convinced you enough, consider the No 6 Bond Smoother a must-have for those who regularly colour or lighten their hair and those who religiously use heat styling tools.

But because it is a styling product AND a reparative hair treatment, you can’t really go wrong with it even if you don’t use hot tools that often or have relatively healthy hair. Just apply a small amount to ends and you can just forget about it while it works its magic. What more could a gal ask for?

Also, contrary to popular belief, Olaplex isn’t just for our blonde sisters - it works for every hair type! It’s super restorative bond perfector technology that any head of hair will love. So we guess that means, yas you should buy it.

Buy it now

After all the anticipation, Olaplex No 6 is now officially available on Oz Hair & Beauty. And we're pretty excited about it. While you're at it, shop the rest of the Olaplex range too.
